Management

Brazauro has assembled a strong, time-tested professional and technical management group led by Mark E. Jones III, Chairman, and by Elton Pereira, Vice President of Exploration. Mr. Jones is a former director of Arequipa Resources (sold to Barrick Gold for $C1-billion), founder and Vice-Chairman of Crown Resources Corporation (acquired by Kinross Gold), and is Chairman of Peru-based Solitario Resources.

Mr. Pereira has over 17 years of experience in the mining industry. He earlier served as Brazil Exploration Manager for Brazauro and before that he served as a project manager for Rio Tinto Exploration in Brazil for 12 years, including direct work with four gold discoveries in the Tapajós District.

Mr. Krol currently assists the management team as Director and Advisor. Mr. Krol has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. He earlier served as Vice President, International Exploration at Newmont Mining.

Mark E. Jones III Chairman & Chief Executive Officer	Mr. Jones has been a director of several mining companies including Crown Resources Corporation, Solitario Resources Corporation and Arequipa Resources. Prior to 1984 he was involved in the investment banking business with Dean Witter and as a partner with Jones, Lloyd & Webster.
Elton Pereira Vice President of Exploration	Mr. Pereira has over seventeen years of experience in mineral exploration in the Amazon and throughout mid-western Brazil, most of it with the Rio Tinto Group. He is a graduate of Universidade do Vale do Rios dos Sinos of Rio Grande do Sul State and has a M. Sc degree from Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto of Minas Gerais State.
Leendert G. Krol, Director, Advisor	Mr. Krol has over 40 years of experience in the mining industry. Prior to joining Brazauro Resources, he held the positions of Vice President, International Exploration, Director of Foreign Exploration and Director of Metallurgical Services with Newmont Mining; Exploration Manager, Diamonds, for Anaconda Copper Company; Consulting Geologist, Diamonds, for ASAM; and Senior Geologist for Anglo American Corporation. Mr. Krol served as a Lieutenant in the Royal Dutch Marines and graduated from Leiden University, Netherlands with a Doctorandus in Geology degree. He is a member of the SME - AIME, IMM and SEG.
Greg Chorny Director	Mr. Chorny is a retired barrister and self-employed investor. He brings a wealth of experience in financial and resource related matters.
Harry Dobson Director	Mr. Dobson has been successfully engaged as an executive in the mining business for more than 20 years. He is currently the Chairman of Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. with five operating gold properties in Ontario and a director of Mountain Province Diamonds, Inc.
Patrick L. Glazier Director	Mr. Glazier joined the company on July 8, 1998. He has served as the President of East Fraser Fiber Co. Ltd. based in Prince George, British Columbia for the past five years.
Brian C. Irwin Director	Mr. Irwin was educated at the University of British Columbia where he received his B.A. in 1962 and his LL.B. in 1965. For the past five years, Mr. Irwin's principal occupation has been the practice of law as a partner of DuMoulin Black LLP in Vancouver, British Columbia. He has worked with various companies involved in mining exploration and production.
Dr. Roger David Morton Director	Dr. Morton joined the Company on June 14,1993. For the past five years Dr. Morton has been Professor Emeritus in Geology with the Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Alberta. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Mindoro Resources Inc., and is President of Muskox Minerals Corp. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Uruguay Mineral Resources and Black Swan Resources. Dr. Morton obtained his B.Sc. (Hons. 1st class) in Geology and his Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Nottingham, England.
